I believe that therapy should be made to fit the client rather than the other way round. My practice is underpinned by a Person-Centred approach to therapy and I gained the Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling (CPCAB) studying this counselling method. I also hold the Level 5 Diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and use a combination of different counselling approaches, sometimes referred to as an integrative counselling approach, depending on a client's needs. The foundation of most counselling approaches to therapy recognise the importance of a strong therapeutic working alliance between client and therapist and I believe that it is important to use whatever tools or approaches are available to move a client forward in their explorations and journeys of self-discovery.

I have experience of working with clients from different age groups, genders, ethnic and cultural backgrounds and consider it a privilege to be able to do so.
My work as a therapist is informed by the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP) with whom I am a registered member. As such I am governed by the body's ethical framework which is there to ensure that I work safely and ethically with my clients.
